In order to trust God, we need to have confidence in His strength and power. Let’s look at two more ways in which God’s strength and power are manifested.
2. HIS NAMES AND WORKS.
Ephesians 3:20 NKJV
“Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.”
God’s various names reveal His ability, which is undergirded by His strength, might and power. Therefore, the names and works of God reveal His strength and power. His names can testify to His ability and His ability reveal to us that He is all-powerful, and has the strength to perform and accomplish all things for us.
Exodus 6:2-3 NKJV
“[2] And God spoke to Moses and said to him: “I am the LORD. [3] I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, as God Almighty, but by My name LORD I was not known to them.”
For example, God revealed Himself to Moses by a new name YHWH (LORD); a name unknown to his ancestors. As LORD, God demonstrated His power and might to deliver; He shook Egypt with plagues and death till He uproot His people, an entire nation from bondage.
Through His names and works we know that He is an all-powerful, almighty God that we can trust to deliver us!
Jeremiah 50:33-34 NLT
‘[33] This is what the LORD of Heaven’s Armies (Yhwh Elohe Zeba’ot) says: “The people of Israel and Judah have been wronged. Their captors hold them and refuse to let them go. [34] But the one who redeems them is STRONG. His name is the LORD of Heaven’s Armies (Yhwh Elohe Zeba’ot). He will defend them and give them rest again in Israel. But for the people of Babylon there will be no rest!”
3. GOD NEVER GETS TIRED
God does not ever grow tired or weary. He is always strong and His strength is perfect and sustains us in our weaknesses.
Isaiah 40:28-29 NLT
“[28] Have you never heard? Have you never understood? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of all the earth. He never grows weak or weary. No one can measure the depths of his understanding. [29] He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless.”
God has the strength of a bull; He never grows weary or weak. In the ancient world, the use of pictograph depicted God as a bull or ox, to denote His power, strength and might. God was to Israel as a strong wild ox!
Numbers 24:8 NLT
“God brought them out of Egypt; for them he is as strong as a wild ox. He devours all the nations that oppose him, breaking their bones in pieces, shooting them with arrows.”
Our God is full of strength! He is full of power and might! He can move mountains; His right hand does valiantly. He never quits due to fatigue, He is always strong! WHAT A GOD! AMEN!!
