BUILDING TRUST IN THE LORD (47):
The Truth Of God (4)

We have established that the Word of God is not only true, it is the Truth. God’s Word is the absolute, fixed and unchanging standard by which all things are measured and judged.

JESUS CHRIST IS THE TRUTH!

John 14:6 NASBS
“Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.”

Jesus declared Himself as “The truth,” and identified Himself as the only way to understanding and accessing the life that is found in God.

We know that Jesus Christ is the Word of God, who became human and made His home among humanity. Thus, as the Word, God’s truth is revealed through Jesus.

John 1:1-3,14 NASBS
“[1] In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. [2] He was in the beginning with God. [3] All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being. [14] And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.”

Now, considering that the Greek word for truth, “aletheia,” means “revealing, unconcealed and unhidden,” and implies that which is there, open and available for all to see; Jesus, the word of God, came on earth in human form to unveil and reveal God (all that He is and does) to us, so that we may know Him!

1 John 5:20 NASBS
“And we know that the Son of God has come, and has given us understanding so that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.”

Therefore, as the incarnate word of God, Jesus is the source of all truth; in Him, all of God’s entire truth is affirmed and upheld as sure, firm, stable and reliable!

2 Corinthians 1:19-20 NLT
“[19] For Jesus Christ, the Son of God, does not waver between “Yes” and “No.” He is the one whom Silas, Timothy, and I preached to you, and as God’s ultimate “Yes,” he always does what he says. [20] For all of God’s promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding “Yes!” And through Christ, our “Amen” (which means “Yes”) ascends to God for his glory.”

So, yes, we believe and have confidence in Jesus Christ, as the truth; in the midst of every challenge and fear, we can lean on and put our trust in Him.

Proverbs 3:5-6 NASBS
“[5] Trust in the LORD with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. [6] In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.” AMEN!

Fulfilling Our Theme For 2024: “Building The Highway And Lifting The Banner”

“And in that day, there shall be a Root of Jesse, who shall stand as a banner to the people; for the Gentiles shall seek Him…. (therefore) Go through, go through the gates! Prepare the way for the people; build up, build up the highway! Take out the stones, lift up a banner for the peoples!” [Isaiah 11:10, Isaiah 62:10]
