The Whole Armour Of God (27):
There Is More Working For Us Than Against Us (4)

All angels, principalities and powers are completely subject, subservient and subordinate to Jesus Christ; He has authority over all of them. (1 Peter 3:22). Jesus has given us also His authority and power, so that we may stand and prevail over the works of darkness. Yes, there is more working for us than against us!

2. THE BLOOD OF JESUS

Exodus 12:13 NLT
“But the blood on your doorposts will serve as a sign, marking the houses where you are staying. When I see the blood, I will pass over you. This plague of death will not touch you when I strike the land of Egypt.”

The blood of a lamb on the doorpost was all that was needed for the Israelites to escape from the plague of death in Egypt; for whoever was behind the bloodstained door was exonerated and marked for deliverance.

Revelation 12:11 AMP
“And they overcame and conquered him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, for they did not love their life and renounce their faith even when faced with death.”

We also have the Blood of Jesus working for us, as one of our greatest “weapons” for defence and offence, as it covers sin and frees us from its burden. Sin separates us from God and leads to eternal death; thus the enemy thrives on sin and uses it against us in all warfare.

However, by the Blood we have been forgiven, redeemed, justified and sanctified. We are blameless before God and have been reconciled with Him; we have been given a right standing with Him and access to Him, all by the same Blood.

Therefore, pleading the Blood of Jesus is not only covering ourselves in the Blood; it is actually a legal terminology, like a plea in court, which we use against the enemy, our accuser. Thus the Blood covers us and speaks on our behalf in spiritual legal matters, to silence the enemy.

Hebrews 12:24 NLT
“You have come to Jesus, the one who mediates the new covenant between God and people, and to the sprinkled blood, which speaks of forgiveness instead of crying out for vengeance like the blood of Abel.”

It is the power of the Blood of Jesus that stops the enemy from overpowering and destroying us. It is also the Blood of Jesus that gives us the power to overcome. Make it a habit to daily plead the Blood of Jesus over your life, family and possessions.

ACCESS TO THE MOST HOLY PLACE

We have come to think of the Blood of Jesus only in terms of our atonement, and indeed it is sufficient to wash away sin and guilt, but His blood has done something more; it has opened a new and living way. It gives us the authority and right to enter and live in the presence of God.

Hebrews 10:19-22 NLT
“[19] And so, dear brothers and sisters, we can boldly enter heaven’s Most Holy Place because of the blood of Jesus. [20] By his death, Jesus opened a new and life-giving way through the curtain into the Most Holy Place. [21] And since we have a great High Priest who rules over God’s house, [22] let us go right into the presence of God with sincere hearts fully trusting him. For our guilty consciences have been sprinkled with Christ’s blood to make us clean, and our bodies have been washed with pure water.”

Jesus bids us to enter, and to enter boldly, not on the basis of any natural qualification, but by His blood. WE MAY ENTER the presence of God by faith in the Blood of Jesus, and the veil that was rent by His flesh! WE MAY ENTER by simply drawing near with a true heart of faith.

This level of access must transform not just your prayer life, but also, your very life, as you become more aware and conscious of living in the presence of God. Indeed, His presence is a wall of fire round us and the glory in our midst.

Fulfilling Our Theme For 2024: “Building The Highway And Lifting The Banner”

“And in that day, there shall be a Root of Jesse, who shall stand as a banner to the people; for the Gentiles shall seek Him…. (therefore) Go through, go through the gates! Prepare the way for the people; build up, build up the highway! Take out the stones, lift up a banner for the peoples!” [Isaiah 11:10, Isaiah 62:10]
