For the past few weeks we have taken an in-depth look at the provision that God has made available to us; to enable us to stand and prevail against the temptations, testings, trials and attacks, accusations, deceptions and intimidations of the enemy.
We are in the last days, and unfortunately, our world is not going to get better, but worse. Our warfare against “the evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, the mighty powers in this dark world, and evil spirits in the heavenly places” is only going to intensify. (Ephesians 6:10-12). This means that believers are going to face more challenges and persecutions.
In Matthew 24 Jesus gave us many signs and told us what to expect as the end draws near. We are already seeing many of these signs happening and it can quite scary and daunting.
However, we must encourage ourselves with the simple truth that, despite the threats from the enemy and our challenges and weaknesses, God is able to make us stand!
Romans 14:4 NKJV
“Who are you to judge another’s servant? To his own master he stands or falls. INDEED, HE WILL BE MADE TO STAND, FOR GOD IS ABLE TO MAKE HIM STAND.”
Our awesome God has provided a comprehensive and effective armour to enable us to stand – the belt of truth breastplate of righteousness, shoes of the Gospel, shield of faith, helmet of salvation and a sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
The Lord has given us authority over the powers of darkness; we have authority to forbid (bind) on earth, what heaven has forbidden and to permit (loose) what heaven has permitted. The Blood of Jesus has marked us for deliverance and the Cross has disarmed the principalities and powers,;we’ve been given the name of Jesus, at the mention of which all things bow, and the word of God in our mouths is a powerful weapon!
We have access to God in prayer, and are encouraged to pray always. Above all, the Holy Spirit, the resurrection power of God, resides in us to empower and enable us to stand and overcome. God has made us more than conquerors through Jesus Christ!
Ephesians 6:13 NLT
“Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm.”
Whatever battle you may be facing, whether with sin, discouragement, fear, unbelief, sickness, family challenges, financial problems, weariness, seemingly delayed answers to prayer, or generally, struggling to live the Christian life; I encourage you to trust in the provision that God has made for us to win our battles.
FINALLY, DO NOT BE AFRAID!
Deuteronomy 20:1-4 NLT
_”[1] When you go out to fight your enemies and you face horses and chariots and an army greater than your own, do not be afraid. The LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, is with you! [2] When you prepare for battle, the priest must come forward to speak to the troops. [3] He will say to them, ‘Listen to me, all you men of Israel! Do not be afraid as you go out to fight your enemies today! Do not lose heart or panic or tremble before them. [4] For the LORD your God is going with you! He will fight for you against your enemies, and he will give you victory!’”
God is unchanging, the same yesterday, today and forever. Therefore, I believe that this promise of His to Israel, concerning their physical battles, also applies to us, concerning our spiritual battles with the powers of darkness. God will fight for us and give us victory over the enemy. He is able to make us STAND! Amen!

“And in that day, there shall be a Root of Jesse, who shall stand as a banner to the people; for the Gentiles shall seek Him…. (therefore) Go through, go through the gates!
