Jeremiah 32:17 NKJV
“’Ah, Lord GOD! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and outstretched arm. There is nothing too hard for You.”
Truly, God can and is able to do anything and all things. The Bible promises us that “He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.” (Ephesians 3:20). There is absolutely nothing too hard for the Father to do!
Job 42:1-2 NLT
“[1] Then Job replied to the LORD: [2] “I know that you can do anything, and no one can stop you.”
As I reflect on this truth, I am reminded of the word of God in Isaiah 40:3-5…
“[3] ….Prepare the way of the LORD; make straight in the desert a highway for our God. [4] Every valley shall be exalted and every mountain and hill brought low; the crooked places shall be made straight and the rough places smooth; [then] the glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together…”
This is a scripture I confidently pray, almost every day, with the full assurance that the Lord is able to do all things! This is how I pray daily for myself, my family and ministry family…
“Father, please go ahead of us today and fill every valley, level every mountain, straighten anything that is crooked and make the rough smooth; so that Your glory may be revealed in our lives for all to see. Amen!”
I am confident about this prayer because our God is the One who makes a way in the wilderness, causes water to spring forth in the desert, parts the sea into two, turns bronze into gold and iron into silver; He causes the cypress and myrtle trees to grow instead of thorns and briers. The Lord does and is able to do much, much more!
Therefore, TODAY, I celebrate the God is able to do all things. He fills and raises the valleys in our lives, and brings down the mountains that stand in the way; He straightens anything that is crooked and out of place, and polishes everything into perfection.
I realise that some of the upheavals in life are just God on the move and at work to reveal His glory in and through us! Yes, He can do all things!
