We conclude this series of teaching by stating that the Father is committed to helping us become fruitful. Truly, He does not want anything from us, except that we love Him and live in obedience to His word and ways; this will be reflected in how we treat and relate with others.
Micah 6:8 NKJV
“He has shown you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?”
It is important and necessary that we cooperate with Him to produce the fruits of righteousness, especially the fruit of the Spirit, in our lives.
THE FATHER PRUNES US
Therefore, it gives me great joy to know that the Father is committed to helping us build up our faith and produce the fruits of righteousness in or lives. Jesus told us that the Father prunes us make us bear more fruit. Pruning is not easy but it necessary to increase productivity and fruitfulness.
John 15:2 NLT
“He cuts off every branch of mine that doesn’t produce fruit, and he prunes the branches that do bear fruit so they will produce even more.”
We must allow the Word of God to prune us, by cooperating with the Holy Spirit, as He works in us.
Hebrews 12:11 NKJV
“Now no chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.”
THE LORD WILL ANSWER
Finally, as I reflect on the lengths that the Father would go to help His people become fruitful, the scripture below (a promise to Israel) comes to mind.
Hosea 2:21-22 NLT
“[21] In that day, I will answer,” says the LORD. “I will answer the sky as it pleads for clouds. And the sky will answer the earth with rain. [22] Then the earth will answer the thirsty cries of the grain, the grapevines, and the olive trees. And they in turn will answer, ‘Jezreel’-‘God plants!’
I love this scripture so much, I’ve prayed and declared it upon my life, family and ministry, over and over again. It is a sure promise from the Father that He will hear our prayers for fruitfulness, and shows the extent to which He will go to answer us; not just with physical blessings but also with an abundance of spiritual blessings, to be bestowed upon us from Jesus Christ by His Spirit.
A FINAL PRAYER
Philippians 1:9-11 NKJV
“[9] And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in knowledge and all discernment, [10] that you may approve the things that are excellent, that you may be sincere and without offense till the day of Christ, [11] being filled with the fruits of righteousness which are by Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.”
May the Lord cause us to produce the fruit of Christ, that is, bear the fruits of righteousness – the Fruit of Faith, the Fruit of Character (Fruit of the Spirit) and the Fruit of Answered Prayer – in every area of our lives, as a witness to the world that we are Christians, true disciples and followers of Jesus Christ. AMEN AND AMEN!!!
Fulfilling Our Theme For 2024: “Building The Highway And Lifting The Banner”
“And in that day, there shall be a Root of Jesse, who shall stand as a banner to the people; for the Gentiles shall seek Him…. (therefore) Go through, go through the gates! Prepare the way for the people; build up, build up the highway! Take out the stones, lift up a banner for the peoples!” [Isaiah 11:10, Isaiah 62:10]
