Above all powers, above all kings,
Above all nature and all created things.
Above all wisdom and all the ways of men
,
You were here before the world began.
Above all kingdoms, above all thrones,
Above all wonders this world has ever known.
Above all wealth and treasures of the earth,
There’s no way to measure what You’re worth.
Crucified, laid behind a stone,
You lived to die, rejected and alone.
Like a rose, trampled on the ground.
You took the fall and thought of me above all.
(Written by Paul Baloche and Lenny LeBlanc)
The essence of this song is that Jesus Christ, the One who is above all powers, kings, nature, wisdom, kingdoms, thrones, all wealth and treasures; became a nobody, was rejected, trampled upon and crucified, simply because He valued and placed us, you and me, above all things!
Isaiah 53:3-5 NKJV
“[3] He is despised and rejected by men, a Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief… [4] Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. [5] But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed.”
TODAY, I bow down my knees in awe and reverence, in appreciation of the lengths to which Jesus went to save us. Of all the creation, we were the only reason why Jesus laid aside His majesty as God and condescended to dwell on the earth. We were the only reason why Jesus died a cruel and shameful death of the Cross. He died to save us and reconcile us to the Father.
How can we ever thank Him? How can I show my appreciation for this awesome demonstration of love and mercy? Really, words are not enough; I owe Him all my life!
So, would you join me in singing Wintley Phipps’s version of “MY TRIBUTE?” https://youtu.be/iltoATb142M?si=myIpz6F5-mmYKYIv
To God be the glory!
To God be the glory!
To God be the glory!
For the things He has done.
With His blood He has saved me,
With His power He has raised me.
To God be the glory,
For the things He has done.
AMEN!!!
Fulfilling Our Theme For 2024: “Building The Highway And Lifting The Banner”
“And in that day, there shall be a Root of Jesse, who shall stand as a banner to the people; for the Gentiles shall seek Him…. (therefore) Go through, go through the gates! Prepare the way for the people; build up, build up the highway! Take out the stones, lift up a banner for the peoples!”” [Isaiah 11:10, Isaiah 62:10]
