I come to the garden alone,
While the dew is still on the roses,
And the voice I hear, falling on my ear,
The Son of God discloses.
And He walks with me,
And He talks with me,
And He tells me I am His own,
And the joy we share as we tarry there,
None other has ever known.
I must say, I’m really enjoying this birthday month of deliberately and consciously praising and worshipping the Lord. My thoughts are more focused on Jesus, and there is a stronger sense of His presence, wherever I am.
Song of Solomon 2:4 NKJV
“He brought me to the banqueting house, and his banner over me was love.”
Yesterday, I spent a couple of hours alone in the park; the fact, however, is that I was not alone, as the presence of the Lord was so strong around me. I see God in the beauty of nature, and yesterday was no different; Jehovah Shammah, the Lord was there with me. I took a short video clip to show you (kindly see 👆🏽above).
Psalm 85:8 NLT
“I listen carefully to what God the LORD is saying, for he speaks peace to his faithful people…”
I love this particular park and go there to “listen.” It always feels like I’m in this big garden, taking a walk with the Lord, and sitting and chatting with Him. There’s always so much I would like to say to Him and so many questions I would like to ask, but more than anything else, I just want to sit and listen, to hear His voice. In the stillness, the still small voice speaks to me!
Although yesterday I had a lot of work to do, my time alone in the park, laying aside every agenda and issue, to focus on the Lord, hear His voice and see His face, was worth every second! I find it incredibly awesome, that the King of Glory would visit me in this park, and sit, walk and talk with me! I can always exhale in His presence!
TODAY, why don’t you take a moment to “sit” with the Lord? Wherever you are, come apart for a moment and just “sit with Jesus!” If you feel you must talk at this moment, don’t use words; let your heart speak! Then listen, just wait and listen – heart to heart. (This is also prayer).
The song on my heart today is PSALM 23 by The Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir. I invite you to join me in singing this beautiful song that boldly declares God’s care for us, as our Great and Good Shepherd. https://youtu.be/-15J8-_vt6k?si=dIYR2D56JUz2XkHq

Fulfilling Our Theme For 2024: “Building The Highway And Lifting The Banner”
“And in that day, there shall be a Root of Jesse, who shall stand as a banner to the people; for the Gentiles shall seek Him…. (therefore) Go through, go through the gates! Prepare the way for the people; build up, build up the highway! Take out the stones, lift up a banner for the peoples!” [Isaiah 11:10, Isaiah 62:10]
