Someone said to me recently, “You are the only minister I know who talks a lot about Jesus. Other pastors and leaders talk about a lot of things, but not much about Jesus, but you make everything about Him!”
Actually, I was very glad to hear that, because i consider it my life calling, goal, purpose and mission to bear witness to Jesus Christ.
Whether we believe it or not, everything is life is about Him. The Bible tells us in Hebrews 1:3 that, as the Son of God and image of the Father, Jesus Christ upholds, maintains and propels EVERYTHING (our world and the whole universe) by His powerful word, carrying the entire creation along to its predetermined purpose.
In 1 Timothy 6:15-16 Paul describes Jesus as the blessed and only Sovereign, the King of kings and Lord of lords, who alone possesses immortality and dwells in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen or can see; to whom belongs honour and eternal dominion!
YET, to me, Jesus Christ is my Saviour, the One who loved and saved me by washing me from my sins with His own blood. JESUS IS MY SAVIOUR! (Revelation 1:5).
This morning, I think of all the awesome things that the Bible tells us about Jesus Christ – His deity and majesty, His supremacy, sovereignty, authority, power and dominion, His word, truth and wisdom, His omnipresence and omniscience (and more) – and I am AMAZED and find it INCREDIBLE that this SAME JESUS is my Saviour!
Amazing love! How can it be that my God, died for me? To me, it is the greatest mystery in life that God would love you and me and die for us. Therefore, as I reflect on Jesus today, the thought that fills my mind and heart is, “What a Saviour!” Oh, it thrills my heart to know that I have the Sovereign God as my Saviour!
Therefore, I invite you to click on the link to join me in singing and reflecting on the lyrics of “WHAT A SAVIOUR” by Nathaniel Bassey. May the song minister deeply to your soul and course you to fall in love afresh with Jesus. https://youtu.be/Z663271YXmw?si=R3hhJy0chczvCsFg
Fulfilling Our Theme For 2024: “Building The Highway And Lifting The Banner”
“And in that day, there shall be a Root of Jesse, who shall stand as a banner to the people; for the Gentiles shall seek Him…. (therefore) Go through, go through the gates! Prepare the way for the people; build up, build up the highway! Take out the stones, lift up a banner for the peoples!” [Isaiah 11:10, Isaiah 62:10]
