God is always able to act on behalf of His people. Therefore, many of His names were manifested to Israel through a tangible experience of His help. Let’s continue discussing these names to discover what God is able to do on our behalf.
3. JEHOVAH SHALOM
Meaning: The Lord our Peace
Over the years, as the Lord continued to teach me to trust Him, I learned to discern when I am not trusting Him and have “moved” from His love. The biggest sign of my lack of trust is always an absence of peace. I feel agitated in my spirit and then anxiety begins to build up! When that happens, I know that I have shifted my eyes off the Father, my Jehovah Shalom.
Shalom is a derivative of shâlêm (which means “be complete” or “sound”). Shalom is translated as peace, absence from strife., completeness, soundness (in body), prosperity, tranquillity or contentment
This name first was manifested when the Angel of the Lord appeared to Gideon in Ophrah and declared ‘peace’ to him. The Angel promised God’s presence, deliverance from fear and victory over the Midianites. Because of that, Gideon built an altar built and named it Jehovah-Shalom.
Judges 6:24 NLT
“And Gideon built an altar to the LORD there and named it Yahweh-Shalom (which means “the LORD is peace”). The altar remains in Ophrah in the land of the clan of Abiezer to this day.”
JESUS CHRIST
Jesus is our peace, who has reconciled and made us one with God; He has destroyed the barrier of sin, the dividing wall of hostility between us and God, and reconciled us to Him.
Ephesians 2:14 NKJV
“For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation.”
Through Jesus, we can overcome every fear, worry, oppression and anxiety, knowing that His peace is available to us.
Philippians 4:6-7 NLT
“[6] Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. [7] Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.”
Isaiah 26:3 NLT
“You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you!” AMEN!

Fulfilling Our Theme For 2024: “Building The Highway And Lifting The Banner”
“And in that day, there shall be a Root of Jesse, who shall stand as a banner to the people; for the Gentiles shall seek Him…. (therefore) Go through, go through the gates! Prepare the way for the people; build up, build up the highway! Take out the stones, lift up a banner for the peoples!” [Isaiah 11:10, Isaiah 62:10]
