The Lord my Shepherd is one of the experiential names of God, which must fill us with joy, peace and contentment!
6. JEHOVAH RAAH (2)
King David vividly described the benefits of having God as a shepherd and friend in Psalm 23. There are three key things that God does for us, as our Shepherd.
1. PROVIDES
His provision is perfect, therefore, we will not lack or be insufficient. His provision satisfies, refreshes and restores; His provision is overflowing – “my cup runs over.” We need to grasp the truth, that God is our provider, supplier and sustainer.
2. GUIDES
He guides us on the paths of righteousness – the straight and narrow paths that lead us away from the dangerous paths of the enemy, sin the flesh and the world. God leads, guides and directs us so we do not get lost or go astray. He leads us in holiness and righteousness.
3. PROTECTS
As our Shepherd, God protects us and deals with the enemy on our behalf. Sometimes the paths of righteousness lead through valleys and dark places. But we must not not fear because His presence is with us.
JESUS CHRIST
Jesus Christ, the Son of God is our Good Shepherd
John 10:11-16 NLT
“I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd sacrifices his life for the sheep. [12] A hired hand will run when he sees a wolf coming. He will abandon the sheep because they don’t belong to him and he isn’t their shepherd. And so the wolf attacks them and scatters the flock. [13] The hired hand runs away because he’s working only for the money and doesn’t really care about the sheep. [14] “I am the good shepherd; I know my own sheep, and they know me, [15] just as my Father knows me and I know the Father. So I sacrifice my life for the sheep. [16] I have other sheep, too, that are not in this sheepfold. I must bring them also. They will listen to my voice, and there will be one flock with one shepherd.”
As our Shepherd, Jesus Christ has a stake in our well-being. Through our lives, He wants the world to know that God is faithful, good, generous and kind. We can trust and count on Him, because He has a huge stake in our care and upkeep and protection. AMEN!

Fulfilling Our Theme For 2024: “Building The Highway And Lifting The Banner”
“And in that day, there shall be a Root of Jesse, who shall stand as a banner to the people; for the Gentiles shall seek Him…. (therefore) Go through, go through the gates! Prepare the way for the people; build up, build up the highway! Take out the stones, lift up a banner for the peoples!” [Isaiah 11:10, Isaiah 62:10]
