Did you know that in order to accomplish His redemptive purpose for humanity and fulfil His Kingdom agenda on the earth, God has come to dwell in man on earth TWICE?
There is nothing strange about this, since God originally created us in His image and likeness, anyway. It was sin that distorted the image of God in man.
However, God the Son, Jesus Christ, came to dwell on earth in human form to accomplish our deliverance from sin and death, and reconcile us with the Father. God put on human flesh, lived among us in order to reveal Himself to us.(John 1:1-5,14)
Before Jesus returned to heaven, He promised that He would not leave us as orphans but would come back to us. He said the Father would send God the Holy Spirit to dwell with us and be with us. (John 14:16-18)
On the day of Pentecost, God came down in the person of the Holy Spirit to regenerate humanity, dwell in us, transform us into the image of Christ and empower us to do His Kingdom works.
3. THE HOLY SPIRIT IS GOD
We need to know and understand that the Holy Spirit is not just the Spirit of God; HE IS GOD!
One of the tenets of the Christian faith is the belief that God exists as three separate and distinct Persons in one Godhead. (Deuteronomy 6:4). All three persons of the Godhead – Father, Son and Holy Spirit – are equal in essence, nature and glory, exist coeternally (exist together, equally and jointly, eternally), and have one identity and purpose as God.
Matthew 28:19 NASBS
“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.”
They are NOT three Gods in one; they are ONE GOD IN THREE PERSONS. Just as you are not three persons, because you are made of body, soul and spirit; though each part is distinct, they come together to form the one person, that is you!
The three Persons of the Trinity also share the same attributes, and are equal in power and authority; however, they perform different roles and functions to fulfil a corporate purpose.
Being God, the Holy Spirit shares several unique and distinct characteristics and essential traits with God the Father and God the Son.
- He is Omnipotent – All powerful. (Luke 1:35; Ephesians 1:19-20)
- He is Omnipresent – Ever-present. At all places at once, that is, present everywhere at the same time (Psalms 139:7)
- He is Omniscient – All knowing. He has unlimited knowledge, that is, He knows everything and all things. (1 Corinthians 2:10)
- He is Eternal – Everlasting, forever, never-ending and timeless. (Hebrews 9:14)
Isn’t it AWESOME, that God dwells in you and me, in the Person of the Holy Spirit! Yes, God lives in you!

Fulfilling Our Theme For 2024: “Building The Highway And Lifting The Banner”
“And in that day, there shall be a Root of Jesse, who shall stand as a banner to the people; for the Gentiles shall seek Him…. (therefore) Go through, go through the gates! Prepare the way for the people; build up, build up the highway! Take out the stones, lift up a banner for the peoples!” [Isaiah 11:10, Isaiah 62:10]
