THIS GREAT SALVATION! (3):
A Glimpse Of Hope In The Midst Of Judgement

Having been commissioned by Jesus Christ to go out into the world and bear witness to Him, it is very important and necessary that we know the true redemption story, so that we can share it accurately and in power. (Matthew 16:15-18; Acts 1:8)

Let us continue with the narrative of the great salvation that was accomplished for us by Jesus Christ, and which we are remembering and celebrating this week…

SEVERE JUDGEMENT

Through their disobedience, Adam and Eve became separated from God and came into bondage to sin. Sin is abhorrent to God, and has severe and devastating consequences. Sadly, God passed judgement on both of them; because sin had opened the floodgates of evil, they would experience extreme fear, pain, sorrow, suffering, heartache, hardship, toil and death. (Genesis 3:16-18)

Romans 6:23 NKJV –
“For the wages of sin is death…”

Therefore, sin brought death into our world; not just physical death, but also, eternal death – a perpetual separation from God. Those who experience eternal death would end up in hell, a place of fire, torment and anguish.

Unfortunately, people don’t want to talk about hell, or even believe that hell exists; however, Jesus constantly taught us that hell is real and warned us about it. (Matt 8:12; Matt 13:41-43, 49-50; Matt 25:41; 2 Peter 2:4-6)

GOD PROMISED REDEMPTION

The good news, however, is that in the midst of His judgement to the serpent, God promised redemption through the Seed of woman, Jesus Christ.

Genesis 3:14-15 NKJV
“[14] So the Lord God said to the serpent: “Because you have done this, you are cursed more than all cattle, and more than every beast of the field; on your belly you shall go, and you shall eat dust all the days of your life. [15] And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise His heel.”

With this promise we are assured that God had neither finished with humanity nor given up on them! There was yet hope of redemption and reconciliation between humanity and God. The narrative was unfinished; God had a plan in place, to deliver humanity from the clutches of satan, sin and death!

There is a fountain filled with blood
Drawn from Immanuel’s veins;
And sinners, plunged beneath that flood,
Lose all their guilty stains!

AMEN!!!

Fulfilling Our Theme For 2024: “Building The Highway And Lifting The Banner”

“And in that day, there shall be a Root of Jesse, who shall stand as a banner to the people; for the Gentiles shall seek Him…. (therefore) Go through, go through the gates! Prepare the way for the people; build up, build up the highway! Take out the stones, lift up a banner for the peoples!” [Isaiah 11:10, Isaiah 62:10]
