THIS GREAT SALVATION! (7):
THE POWER OF THE RESURRECTION

Matthew 28:5-6 NLT
“[5] Then the angel spoke to the women. “Don’t be afraid!” he said. “I know you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. [6] He isn’t here! He is risen from the dead, just as he said would happen. Come, see where his body was lying.”

Jesus Christ did not remain in the grave; He rose from the dead! Jesus conquered sin and overcame death; through the incredible power of God, resurrected to new life! He is alive today and forevermore! Hallelujah!

Today, as we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ, let us remind ourselves that the same incredibly great power of the Spirit of God is at work in us, to revive and enable us to live the life of Christ, right here on earth.

The resurrection power of the Holy Spirit is at work in us; to transform, enable and empower us to worship and serve God! The resurrection power of the Holy Spirit gives us victory over sin and the flesh. As we endeavour to live in active obedience to the word of God, the Holy Spirit helps us to break free from the hold of sin, the flesh, the world and Satan.

The same resurrection power of God that raised Christ from the dead is at work in us, to enable us to walk in newness of life, as a lifestyle. In this newness of life we are healed, restored and made whole!

In this newness of life, we are enabled to overcome fear, depression, oppression and the low seasons of life; as we draw from the life and joy that flows from the Holy Spirit through us.

In this newness of life, we receive peace from God, as our past failures are overcome and washed away. We are made stronger and helped to overcome our weaknesses.

O, may we cooperate more and more with the Holy Spirit, and allow His mighty resurrection power to work in us, and cause us to walk in this newness of life!

O, may we live in a constant state of renewal and revival, being alive, well and at peace, through the resurrection power of the Holy Spirit working in us.

In this newness of life, may we join the songwriter in declaring…

Long my imprisoned spirit lay
Fast bound in sin and nature’s night;
Thine eye diffused a quickening ray,
I woke, the dungeon flamed with light;
My chains fell off, my heart was free,
I rose, went forth, and followed Thee.

Thank you Father, for the resurrection power of Your Spirit which is at work in us! Thank you Father, for this great salvation that you accomplished for us. All glory be to Jesus Christ! AMEN!

Fulfilling Our Theme For 2024: “Building The Highway And Lifting The Banner”

”And in that day, there shall be a Root of Jesse, who shall stand as a banner to the people; for the Gentiles shall seek Him…. (therefore) Go through, go through the gates! Prepare the way for the people; build up, build up the highway! Take out the stones, lift up a banner for the peoples!” [Isaiah 11:10, Isaiah 62:10]
